Dear Reader,
Welcome on my page.
I am Marianna, I was born in the countryside of Northern Tuscany, I lived many years in Pisa and in the United States where I taught Italian language and culture at Indiana University and at the University of Hawai’i Manoa. I am currently Italian lecturer at University College School, in London..
I received a Laurea Triennale (BA) in Literature and a Laurea Magistrale (MA) in Italian Language and Literature from the University of Pisa, a Master of Arts and a PhD in Italian with a minor in Gender studies from Indiana University (Bloomington, IN, USA). I am a qualified instructor of Italian language, literature and culture, a ESL teacher, an experienced researcher, writer, translator, and editor.
I am currently teaching Italian L2 classes and italian literature and culture courses, while also working on two book projects, publishing articles, book chapters, reviews, in collaborations with several Academic Journals and webpages, translating, and organizing cultural (academic and non-academic) events.
When I am not teaching, collecting old pictures, writing or reading, I am probably cooking an Italian dish
